Athletes, apologies don’t mix

I apologize to the fans who supported me, my family and all those who have been hurt by my actions. I am ashamed of what I have done and will reflect on what I need to do to be a better person.  I made a mistake, and I never will do it again. I didn’t know they were steroids, I thought they were vitamins.

Manny being Manny, no need to change

Every now and then, there is an athlete that leaves a mark on you after watching him or her play for the first time. For me, Manny Ramirez was one of the people who stood out in my mind. The first time I remember watching him was the 1997 American League Division Series.
