Police are looking for the suspects who left the scene with an undisclosed amount of money.

The Wawa convenience store in Bryn Mawr, Pa., was robbed at gunpoint last week on the night of Feb. 9. According to a press release issued by the Radnor Police Department, two males entered the Wawa at approximately 11 p.m., one of which was armed.

In addition to taking an undisclosed amount of cash, one of the robbers fired his gun into the floor. After the suspect fired the gun, debris flew up and injured a store employee.

The debris hit the store employee in the eye, according to an article published on Feb. 11 in Main Line Suburban Life.

This employee was taken to a local hospital and later released. The suspects fled the scene. Police are now looking for a gold Ford Taurus sedan in which the suspects may have left the scene. The sedan reportedly has temporary paper registration plates.

Police believe that this robbery is connected to another robbery in the nearby town of Lansdowne on Jan. 28, according to the Main Line Suburban Life article.

University students often frequent the Wawa in Bryn Mawr and had mixed reactions when hearing of the robbery.

Liz Durham, a senior Spanish major, lives in the same neighborhood where the Wawa is located.

"We all have a false sense of security living near Villanova," Durham said.

That false sense of security, however, is gone after the events that unfolded last Thursday night.

"I think now more than ever, I've been alerting my friends," she said. "You should always be on high alert."

Other University students were not as shocked by the events that occurred that night at Wawa.

That kind of stuff happens everywhere," said Anna Beeman, sophomore English major.

While the armed robbery is a reason to be cautious, Beeman does not see it as an opportunity to overreact.

"You should always be aware, but not afraid," she said.

Trevor Woodward, a junior communication major who frequently shops at the Wawa in Bryn Mawr, said he may no longer shop there late at night. Woodward expressed surprise that this happened at a local store.

"It seems like a safe area," he said. "It's not enough for me to kick the Wawa habit," Woodward said.

The press release from the police department describes the gunman as a black male with a black goatee. He is approximately 6-feet to 6-feet-2-inches and was last seen wearing a blue colored Old Navy sweatshirt, blue jeans, a tan and black Philadelphia Soul baseball hat and black shoes, according to the press release.  The second suspect is a black male with a black beard and mustache. He is approximately 6-feet tall. He was wearing a black sweatshirt with white letters spelling "Everlast" on the front. In addition to the sweatshirt, he also had on blue jeans, black shoes and a white baseball cap.
