What did you do over break?
Nothing exciting or interesting, just my standard boring self. I usually try to get some work done, but not this time.
Did you ever have to pay a visit to the dean while you were a student here?
Yes. We had "visitation" rules back in the day. My friends and I regularly violated them. Not for anything untoward, mind you...you can ask Father McGuire if you want.
What did you want to be when you grew up?
Believe it or not, a teacher or a physicist. Although being a rock star also would have been nice.
Villanova would be perfect if...
It isn't? I guess I would wish that everyone would realize just how great we really have it here and would maybe lighten up a bit. Some of the complaints here are really a bit much. And wouldn't perfection be rather boring?
What is your least favorite household chore?
I live alone. I have a cleaning person. I can't afford home repairs, and if I tried them myself, I'd probably shoot myself with a nail gun or blow up the entire block. So back at you: "What's a ‘household chore'?"
What are you most excited to do now that it's warm out?
I would probably say play golf, but I doubt that real golfers and the fairways they play on would agree that I should be playing golf. Generally, I just stay inside and snack high on the food chain.
What is one fact people would be surprised to know about you?
I think that most people (students at least) have come to expect nearly anything from me and wouldn't be surprised by too much. The best answer is that I was once in a rock band. We put out a few CDs back in the '90s. I think one might actually be at the VU radio station.
If you could be a member of any TV sitcom family, which one would you choose?
Well, for various reasons, Al Bundy is my hero, but I don't think I'd actually want to be him. I would love to be permitted to be as acerbic as Dr. House, but I like my job. My Facebook picture is Cartman; enough said. I guess I would pick House, although that's not really a sitcom.
What are your dogs' names?
Dudley and Daphne. I call them "The Wolfen." They are the bane of my existence, and I love them more than most people I know. Greatest. Dogs. Ever.
If you could be one age forever, what would it be?
Twenty-seven. It's young enough to enjoy life and old enough to appreciate what you are enjoying. And it's just maybe wise enough not to do anything too stupid. Anything in the late 20s or early 30s would be a good time to stop the clock.
